Check Licensure of Wholesale Drug Distributors and Third-Party Logistics Providers

Prescription drugs should only be purchased from wholesale drug distributors with a valid license in the U.S. and who are authorized by law. Unlicensed and unauthorized trading partners put patients at risk of taking unsafe, possibly illegitimate drugs that may be counterfeit, stolen or diverted.

Third-party logistics providers also must be authorized if a manufacturer, wholesale distributor or dispenser uses a third-party logistics provider to coordinate warehousing or other logistics services.

Check whether a wholesale drug distributor or third party-logistics provider is an authorized trading partner
